"Guided Walking" Weekends
These residential weekends offers you guided
walks where you can learn about the archaeological sites, the folklore,
geology, flora and fauna of the area in an entertaining way. Suitable
clothing and footwear are required.
The walks are graded and are led by very experienced local guides.
Riverside walks include the Glenshelane
River Walk, a wilderness trek through spectacular scenery in the
Knockmealdown Mountains and the 8km long Kilmaloo Walk at Clashmore
Ardmore has a published Cliff Walk. Way-marked, long distance trails
include St. Declan's Way, an ancient pilgrims' path of some 94km
which runs from Ardmore through Cappoquin, Lismore, Ardfinnan and Cahir
to Cashel.
Walkers
will discover that the Comeragh Mountains and the Nire Valley
provide a cornucopia of natural beauty and fascinating antiquities.
Purple heather, green shaded forestry, craggy outcrops of rock, sharp
peaks outlined against the sky, tumbling mountain streams, deep and
silent lakes, blending together to create a magic place. A place to
stop and stare. A place to savour, to enjoy each moment to the full
in the clean, fresh, pure air of these two beautiful mountain ranges.
After
a days walking you will enjoy our evening entertainment where you will
join the group on the "Celtic Roots" tour for dinner and share
the day s adventures. On one of the evenings, is a night at "The
Waterford Show" a night of Irish song, music and dance in the historical
city of Waterford, will be highlight.
In
between outdoor excursions to wonderful places you will enjoy sampling
our delicious Irish cuisine in our local traditional pubs and restaurants.
We will tell you the background to Ireland's famous dishes then you
will have an opportunity to try some of them. Lunch will be enjoyed
as a picnic on your travels.

of the "Guided Walking" Weekends
€470.00 per person sharing.
All inclusive programme begins on the
Friday evening of your arrival and ends on the Monday morning of your
departure and includes: -
Accommodation for three nights.
Three breakfast, packed lunch (optional) and evening meals for three
evenings.
Transport on all visits and outings.
Entrance fees and admissions to venues.
